About Ray

Ray Stow is a former school Head of Modern Languages Department and Senior Sixth Form Tutor, with wide experience of teaching at all levels within schools and extensive examining experience including GCSE (Northern NEAB, Midlands MEG and London LEAG) and A-Level (NEAB, formerly JMB, London, Oxford and Associated Examining Board). He has had a major role in setting, marking and awarding A-Level and AS examinations in French with the Associated Examining Board (AEB), as well as the well-established and nationally recognised French for Business qualification with the AEB, now AQA. His master's degree was awarded in Modern French Language and Education from the University of Hull where he has been a part-time lecturer in French language skills in the Department of French for the last 10 years, as well as assisting in the academic and practical training of school teachers within the University of Hull's School of Education. He has also had a two year contract as Business Language Consultant to the School of European Languages and Cultures at the University of Hull.
